Premise: In 1997 a virus wipes out most of Earth's population causing the remaining survivors to move underground to survive. Jim Cole (Bruce Willis) is sent back in time to try and stop the Army of the 12 Monkeys, who are believed to have caused the disaster, from unleashing the virus on the world.

Rating: Awesome

Highlights: Bruce Willis whips alot of people's asses in this flick and Brad Pitt is amazing as Goins. He had me thinking at times, is this motherfuker really crazy or what? Great acting job.

This movie kicks ass, and has a twisted ending.  I love time travel stories, and I especially like the parts where they talked about the guy who showed up in the middle of the war and didn't speak French.

One of my all-time faves.

What was up with that part!? Did they just miscalculate the time again like when they sent him to 1990?

I think they said something about how you would sometimes jump back to the wrong time temporarily, and then back to where you were supposed to be.  He ended up in World War I, I think, and spoke no German.  ....when he jumped back to where he was supposed to, he had a bullet in his leg from WWI, and no explanation of how it got there.

It's when he goes back the second time. Before going to 1996, he wakes up in a french army's trench during WW1 and ends up getting shot before he's transported to 1996.

One of my top 10 movies.  Great performances from Brad Pitt and Bruce Willis.  Director Terry Gilliam is brilliant.  He also directed Time Bandits and Brazil, both are worth a look if you haven't seen them.
