Kirby had really let himself go since he retired...not like he was a sleek dude while playing, but reports I've read say that he really rounded out. I'd think that, with as much history of heart disease as Kirby has in his family, he'd have tried to keep his weight down and give himself a better chance.

My thoughts go out to Kirby and his family...and hope he makes as full a recovery as possible.
