Well, I'm still two months shy of a year as a TDMMC member, and I've already hit 2000 posts.  I'm not one of those types who will post pics of scantly clad co-eds.  Instead, lets take a look at some of the highlights that made for interesting topics of conversation:


Carnage leaving, saying he never wants to talk to us again, only to come back a couple months later.

Denver Bronco's team getting their asses handed to them by the Fins on Opening Day, and by the Steelers in the AFC Championship, but having a great season in between. 

Crassmonster coming out of the woodwork and expecting to be appointed TDMMC's "Master Farter".  Man Crass, the military could use you to help them find Osama Bin Laden.  They would just need to locate the cave he is hiding in, drill a hole in the top, then let you sit on it and go to work.  It'll drive him out pretty quick. 

Frimp's WingDing at the Buffalo game.  By the way, we're looking to do it again next year, and we will be bringing the owner of the L-Woods Pub with us.  He happens to be a Bills fan. 

The Tampa trip with Phinatic and his crew.  Even though the game turned out to be a disappointment, it was still a wild weekend. 

Pats2006 coming onto this board full of bravado, only to see his team get shown up first by the Dolphins, then by Denver.  Made for a lot of fun at his expense.  By the way, Pats, you're a Marine right?  Where did the term "Jarhead" come from and why do Marines get so pissed off when someone calls them that?


Maine's Pro Football PT panel.  Also, Maine's expertise on baseball.  Need any stats or old info, ask Maine!!!

And finally, the stuff that some people don't care about, but to me is really addictive...... Poop Bets, Random Questions, "You're the GM" threads, and the ROD.

Regarding the term the origins for this name for Marines--that it found its origins in the high, dress blues, collar of the Marine uniform, that it refers to the similarity to a Mason jar, the "high and tight" haircut of Marines, and that the term was first used for Marines by members of the U.S. Navy, etc.


 Refers to the Marine high and tight haircut which is cut almost to the skin at the ears with a bit more as it goes up the head giving the appearance of a jar.
