I liked Flaherty...and wish he would have stayed in San Diego when we dealt for him in '96. Great clubhouse guy and an underrated handler of a pitching staff.

Flaherty is the reason Bud Selig was toying with the idea for 2 DH's. One for the pitcher and one for John Flaherty.

That being said, I liked the guy and if you look at Randy Johnson's starts between Flaherty catching and Posada catching last year, you will see an astounding difference.
