Andy Marte, the third base "prospect" that Boston got for Edgar Renteria, and then shipped to Cleveland for Coco Crisp, is tearing the ball apart in spring training.
The other night Cleveland hit Toronto's Burnett pretty hard (it's the second rough outing of the spring for AJ).
Marte went 4-for-4 with a two-run home run off Burnett, a double, two singles and a sacrifice fly.
Cleveland's spring training attendance is up 78% over last year. An informal poll was done from people leaving games - they wanted to catch a glimps of the kid.
I'm soooo happy Boston didn't keep this guy.
