I've seen and heard a couple times (once on this forum) that Bonds wasn't doing anything wrong if he was juiced in '99 and '00 as baseball hadn't laid down the steroid law yet.

Wrong.  VERY wrong.  Steroids have been banned from MLB for a long time and very strong wording was written into the collective bargaining agreement of 1991.  They started testing more actively as of late.

See for yourself.  And, by the way, Barry Bonds can eat my ass.  If they can prove Bond's use, and document a start date, his records should be wiped away as of that time.

Not just that, but steroids are ILLEGAL. If the United States Government says it is illegal, it goes without saying that it's illegal to use in MLB too.

According to the book, Bonds' trainer kept a "Steroids Calendar" monitoring everything from what he injected to what he ate to how much exercise he did that day. I don't compare players to their rookie years in terms of size because everyone puts on more muscle because they learn how to train better. Derek Jeter himself looks to have put on 10-15 pounds and his HR totals have always been solid and consistent.

However, I do go from year to year and Bonds grew like a gorilla from 2000 to 2001. His head alone looks to have gone up 2 hat sizes and that's what HGH does, it makes your bones grow, especially your head.

He is a complete fraud and I really think within 5 years you will see Roger Maris' mark of 61 Homeruns be reinstated as the single season homerun mark.

I think people are getting confused with Mark McGwire, who "supposedly" was on Andro, which is a legal supplement and was not banned by MLB until recently.

Steroids have always been illegal in all athletic competitions to my knowledge.

All these guys were juiced.  It seems like a witch hunt to only go after Bonds.  McGwire, Sosa, etc....I think they were all using.  I think the only thing to do is move forward, and test closely.

He has not officially retired, but he doesn't have a team and has considered retiring. Unless someone signs him soon I would assume he will retire.

     Sosa's dumb ass had an oppurtunity to play for the Nationals, but turned it down because of money issues.  I'd say what the Nationals were going to give him was a fair salary considering the crappy numbers he had in Baltimore.

Bonds also went from a career high 43 homeruns to 73 the next season, while lmost at the age of 40, when all the great homerun hitters were in the twilight of their careers and suffered from declining numbers.
