I love to sleep. After eating, drinking, sex and football (not necessarily in that order), my favorite activity.

I disagree, sleeping is a big waste of time.  If I could physically survive without sleep, I would do it in a second.

How is it a waste of time? It is like time travel. Lay down and in one second you have traveled ahead about 8 hours. I love sleep.

Yes, thus LOSING 8 useful hours

a waste of time.  you know how much stuff I could get done if I could make use of those extra 56 hours a week?  Damn.  Life would be good.

You're right Jtex... sleeping rocks!  As for a waste of time,  nah,  I don't have THAT much to do that I need those 56 hrs. to complete tasks I can do while I'm up.

I am awake 16 hours a day, and spend 14 of them at work.  You bet your ass I could use those extra hours.

You'd blow half of them playing Xbox - I don't wanna hear it.

I love sleeping, but if I didn't have to do it, I wouldn't.

Do you realize how much you could get done if you didn't have to sleep?

Sleeping RULES.

I never get enough of it and I always want to sleep for 12 hours every day.

Agreed, SLEEP RULES!!!  Look, we all want to get a lot done during the day.  But the fact of the matter is, our bodies need sleep.  People who just try to to go "balls to the wall" during the week drive themselves mad and you're adding unecessary stress.  It's the same rule with water, sometimes the best time to drink water, is when you're NOT thirsty.  Usually, if I can, I try to fit in a 30 minute to an hour nap everyday.

I agree.  There's ALWAYS something to get done, but one of them is sleeping!!

If my body didn't require sleep, i'd probably do it anyways.

I'm wondering how the world would be different if the human body didn't require sleep.  Do you think more places would be open at night?

One interesting question about sleep which I don't think I've ever heard successfully resolved: how did it evolve?
