The Canes are one-dimensional, and you're bragging about 5 titles -- but they started coming like 20 years ago.

The Gators are the most complete athletic program in FL...and possibly in the country.  They are consistantly competant in baseball, football, and basketball.

Florida is the only college football team I've liked (back in the Spurrier days)... I generally don't care for college athletics, and tend to have teams that I hate (Duke, Notre Dame, Stanford, Kansas, Kentucky) more than any team I particularly like.  But I did like the Gators in football.

Which isn't exactly relevant to this thread.

5 titles since 1983. I don't any other teams out there that manage on average a title every 5 years.

And they are not one-dimensional. They baseball program is one of the better ones in the nation and usually is a title contender.

As hard as it is, I have to agree there.   You guys also compete well in track & field, swimming & diving, and tennis.

My Noles also compete well in baseball, soccer, track & field, and volleyball

Expect the gator train to keep rolling.

Jesus.  Start racking up championships before making bold predictions and ranting as if they were the best team ever. Florida winning is about as meaningful as Maryland and Syracuse winning it a few years ago. Pfff.   Roll Eyes

P.S.  Get good in college football before you start ragging on FSU and UM.

Were the best team this year that's all that matters, and if everyone returns with the recruiting class we have coming in we will be prohibited favorites next year. Bank on it.

What the hell has miami football done since entering the ACC. No more creampuffs on the schedule like rutgers, temple, and syracuse. If you haven't noticed scUM FOOTBALL has been in steady decline since butch davis boys went on to greener pastures. If you played in the SEC you wouldnt have half of those championships and you know it.  What about this years peach bowl performance. That was one for the ages. You got your ass beat on the field, and in the tunnel. 40-3 great job larry choker.

As for F$U i have bragging rights until they beat us again. I'll i have to do is say this 20-13, 34-7, im sure those scores are fimiliar to a certain member of this board. Again the gators train will continue to roll!!!!!!!

LOL. This is what happens when schools who rarely if ever taste a championship - they post or say ridiculous things. Gay-tor fans were so starved for a win in anything that they go nuts after their secondary college bb program. Well good for you gaytor fans - enjoy it cuz up next is baseball where you have never tasted a championship while my HURRICANES have tasted it 4 times then its football where you will be holding on to that lone fluke season in 93 while the UM dynasty will continue - 5 championships & counting. Speaking of Peach Bowls & beatings, how about the Gators last peach bowl - a 27-10 ownage courtesy of the Canes - & that was with Coker, the worst incarnation ever of a UM head coach. Enjoy it gaytor fans, soon you will come down from the clouds & back to reality, where you & the semaholes  will continue to be btches for the Canes.

OMG- Hurricoone fans never cease to amaze. Secondary bb program. LOL. Ohh you mean the basketball program that's been to 3 final fours in 12 years. The only basketball school to play in the national championship game twice this decade. The only team since the 1968 BRUINS to win the national semifinal, and title game by more than 14 pts. Not bad for a secondary program.

Can i please get a run down of what miami has accomplished the last 12 years in basketball. Billy Donovan was already a top -flight recruiter, now he has a national championship ring to flaunt in front of those future prospects, and the O' Dome that's filled to capacity everygame. What does frank haith have to sell to potential recruits? Ohh here's one. When we play the gators half of the fans wil be gators fans in our own arena. Jealously & envy couldnt be more prevalent amongest you hurricoone fans. After football season the athletic program grinds to a screeching halt until spring practice.

Tell your basketball team their's no need coming to GAINESVILLE next year. We're going to whipe your asses of the court next year at least by 15-20.

Go Gators!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jealous One's Envy = Miami fans!!!

P..S- Is perry clark still cashing checks from paul dee? LOL.... what a fantastic hire.

cmon cowboys, I gave your gaytors their basketball kudos. The gaytors can have the bronze medal any year they want to its theirs. But at the end of the day we all know what the FL teams are - they are football schools. Always have been, always will be. That means we are # 1 where it counts sir. That means the Canes will win their 6th while the gaytors football program spends their 100th year of futility hopelessly searching for their 2nd. It means the semahole fans will continue to lose sleep over the Canes, even though they will win a nail biter here & there, it will take a convincing win over Miami to exorcise their demons, something that might not happen for a very long time.
