I don't like the choices. Are we only counting brand new players to the team? If so I think Hagan & Shelton should be included. My reasoning for not liking the choices, Culpepper is expected to be our QB savior. Other than leading the team to a SB title how is he going to exceed his expectations. Vick is not even going to make the squad.

I think players like Allen, Hagan, & Shelton would have the ability to actually show us something during the year. That said I have to vote Allen with the current choices.

Gave my vote to Allen.  I don't usually expect much from rookies, whereas I expect a Pro-Bowl type of season from Culpepper.

Besides, did the team offer Vick a contract?  If so, that's news to me.

I picked these three guys, because their expectation levels are all different, and they are all brand new news.

Culpepper - Major production is expected.
A Pro Bowl season would be exceeding it.

Vick - Nothing is expected.
Making the squad and participating at all would be exceeding.

Allen - Spot play is expected.
Being a reliable player this season is exceeding it.

I voted for Culpepper based on many people's view that he may not play this year, sucked last year, etc. I have heard far less about how he will be awesome as opposed to whether he was worth a second round pick. I fully expect him to heal properly and play very well ... hopefully making us forget about all the POS QBs since Dan left.

PLEASE GOD, let this happen!!

Of course it would be nice if everyone pans out ... even Vick ... the faster he can get the water to the players, the less likely they are to dehydrate!  Roll Eyes

In terms of exceeding, I would say Ronnie Brown.

I believe our o-line will be even more better than last year which will help the run game and Ronnie will be just like Ricky 4 years ago minus the weed.

I would have to say QB Daunte Culpepper out of the choices given.  However, I think WR Derek Hagan (our 3rd round pick) will surprise a few people this year.

I would even think a 2nd try-out by Marcus Vick for the Dolphins would be exceeding expectations...and so would passing a physical.

After doing what coach Nick Saban said was "a tremendous amount of research," the Dolphins decided former Virginia Tech quarterback Marcus Vick was worth the risk and signed him to a free-agent contract on Monday.

POOLE. He'll start by mid-season at least, and end up All-Pro Alternate.

I'll champion my boy Joe Toledo. I think he'll impress in preseason, get some spot playing time early in the season, take over for an injured player (guard or tackle) at some point during the season and be one of those guys that we talk about next offseason as a bright spot of our O-line.
