Jim Thome homered for the second straight game and Jose Contreras tossed eight strong innings to lift the Chicago White Sox over the Detroit Tigers 4-3 on Wednesday

Do you all think I should start him over Chris Shelton?

Jim Thome -  Avg .318 l HR 4 l RBI 7 l RUNS 7

Chris Shelton-  Avg .536 l HR. 5 l RBI 10 l RUNS 7

Maybe not after looking at the stats.

Shelton is less likely to continue his surge. I don't think anyone doubted that Thome can still crush the ball, just that he couldn't crush it over a full season.

White Sox are going to win the AL central even though cleveland has started off hot. But Chicago is going to get swept on their own turf against the pesky group from canada
