Toronto is giving him more starts against lefties then before, so thats a good thing . They are also putting him in leadoff, and he has done a great job in it too.
If Alexis can become even an adequate hitter against lefties, he'll be set... If you ever feel like trading him, talk to Towers and Bochy in SD...they'll be glad to take him off your hands.

rub it in why don't you. My team couldn't manage a shutout if their lives depended on it. The only guy we can rely on to get a shutout is Doc. And hes not 100%. at least he doesn't look it.
Baseball's full of these little trade-offs. We have a ballpark larger than several third world countries, and pitchers who can keep it inside our borders. What we DON'T have is anyone who even vaguely resembles Vernon Wells, or even Alexis Rios, in terms of offensive potential. I think if the Padres finish over .500 this year, it will be because they win a buttload of 1-0 and 2-1 type games.
