2011 NFC East Champions!

« on: May 06, 2006, 10:15:13 pm »

I'm sorry but the Phoenix Suns are simply NOT a championship caliber NBA team.  They are just not on the same level as the Spurs, Pistons, or even Mavericks at this point.

They are probably the best team of the 2nd best NBA teams, but the Spurs will annihalate them if they meet, and the Mavericks would win in 6 or 7 if they faced.

This just proves though that Phil Jackson is a fraud.  He's more of a babysitter for superstar players than he is a coach.  A 3-1 series lead and you can't close it out.  What does that say about your team?

THE LAKERS SUCK!!!!!

Anyone who listen's to WQAM sportstalk will hear Juan from Little Havana bitching and moaning tomorrow.

Kobe = God.

LeBron, Wade, Nash, Duncan...none of them have what Kobe has - CLUTCH. Was that not the most clutch, Michael Jordan type shot since...well, Jordan himself?

Lakers up 3-1, and should wrap it up at least by game 6.

Translation... Joe Tex knows approximately DICK about the NBA.

Isn't there some trivial little detail about life that you need to go write a 4 paragraph rant about?

The Suns just came back against GOD (your label, not mine) and Moses (Phil Jackson), and they did it without Amare Stoudemire or Kurt Thomas OR any assistance from a decidedly pro-Kobe officiating crew. Rather than give them any props, you immediately want to rip on them.

As your friend, I am a little curious...whatever happened to your soul?

Now that the 2-time MVP and the rest of the Suns have beaten down "God," they are going to tear through the Paper Clips with a vengeance right out of the Bible. Book of Nash, chapter 2, verse 1-4.

Can I get an "Amen" from the congregation...or from anyone with a little soul?

Are you kidding? This was perhaps PHILLIPS best ever coaching job. If phil jackson is a fraud, what does that make larry brown? The team with the highest payroll cant manage to win 30 games.

The problem with the lakers was their defense or lack their of. When they got the suns in a halfcout game the lakers were succesful. The last 3 games the suns played to their tempo that was the difference.

Also in game 7, KOBE was the only one who was mentally prepared for a game 7. Lamar Odom proved once again he's not an "ELITE" player. 5-14 12pts. Kwame  brown missing point blank opportunites in the first half, and couldnt contain boris diaw. Jackson is not to blame for the laker collapse. The suns resiliency, and the lakers inexperience lead to the massive meltdown.

It dosent matter, because everyone else is playing for second. The pistons are the class of the NBA, and lebron james is about to get a real education in playoff basketball.

Blue-moon alert...I agree completely with a GoCowboys post.

The fact that Phil got the no-talent supporting cast behind Kobe (Smush, Lamar, Kwame, Sasha, Devean) to even vaguely resemble a playoff basketball team during the first 4 games of the series, and putting the fear of God in a clearly more talented team (Suns) was nothing short of amazing.

Larry Brown is a coach.  Phil Jackson is a babysitter.  Larry Brown took the Detroit Pistons, who were a bottom-tier playoff team and turned them into champs.  He turned one shooter into a point guard, another shooter into a rebounder and defender, a rebounder and defender into a scoring machine, and a whole team of castoffs and misfits into believers that they could take down Shaq and Kobe.... and that's EXACTLY what they did.

Watch Brown give the Knicks a total makeover this offseason.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but the coach who built the Pistons to the level where they were on the verge of winning the East was one Rick Carlisle, who now coaches the Pacers. Larry inheirited a well stocked and coached team thanks to Rick and Joe Dumars.
