Exactly. Its funny how like a guy goes to see a kid in the hospital type thing and the kid tells him to hit a homerun for him. Then the guy goes deep and the story comes out. Its like out of 100 guys that have said that to a kid only 1 actually hits a homer that day. Or in football terms the whole idiot story about Big Ben telling Jerome Bettis that if he came back this year he would get him to the Superbowl. Sure, whatever...

Anyway, back on topic, i predict Bonds goes homerless vs. Chicago.

I can see it now...Bonds hits #714 and is poised to pass Babe Ruth. In his next at bat, Barry nails it deep to right field, but looks like it is barely going to stay in the park. Jacque Jones goes back to the wall and is about to pull it in for the third out...then, suddenly out of nowhere, the ultimate Cubs fan, Steve Bartman himself, reaches over the fence with a butterfly net to steal the ball from Jacque Jones and gives Barry #715.

Well, see, back in those days, it was a LOT easier to hit a homer, especially if you were a power hitter like Babe Ruth.  There was no such thing as a bullpen back in the '20's and '30's.  The starter usually stayed in the entire game.  The result was hitters would figure him out by the third time they faced him.
