I wish - I JUST WISH - I could get more into baseball...

Its so hard knowing that your team may not be here next season.

Second start for Cole Hamels this afternoon in a 1 PM EDT matinee against the Brewers. I am tivo'ing it and will watch it later tonight. The Brewers can hit the ball pretty darned well, but I think that not having much film to study up on Hamels will mean that Cole will have his way with Milwaukee's Finest.

Man, I enjoy watching the young Marlins so much that it would be a fukkin greek tragedy if they were to relocate after this season. Hanley Ramirez, Josh Willingham, Dan Uggla...all these kids are so much fun to watch. Florida needs to find a way to keep the team here...there's enough excellent young talent on the roster that they could easily be a playoff team and title contender in a couple of years if they play it right.

I totally agree, but then they'll just sell the team off again for a bunch of new prospects.  Its hard to root for a team full of guys when the names on the roster change every 3 or 4 years.

In the 6th inning today, Cole Hamels gave up his first major league run on a sac fly by big Carlos Lee. 11 innings pitched so far in his two starts...and one earned run allowed.

Not shabby at all. Wink
