It is probably an artifact of an anti-whorehouse law.  I know where I went to school, it was illegal for more than 4 unrelated women to live together.  Apparently that is what defines a whorehouse.

Alot of places here wont let 2 men that aren't related live in the same house.They Had,I'm not positive it's still in effect,the anti whore ordinances here also...


It's a little 2 horse town,northwest of here.....you blink you'll miss it....In the middle of Bumble Fukk Missouri...

When I took the Missouri drivers test, the study guide said you must ignite your lanterns at night and that you must honk your horn before passing to let the other driver know you are there.  Obviously they aren't very at changing laws to modern times.

Anal sex in Maine is illegal, even for couples that are married.  You can't stick it up your wife's stink dot in the lobster state.

Okay - not sure when the law stopped being enforced, but it's really there.
