Talk about holding on!!!  Dallas had blown a 3-1 series lead, given back home court advantage, and even let a 20 point lead in game 7 ON SAN ANTONIO'S FLOOR slip away....... then Dirk Nowitski finally stepped up and became the superstar everyone thought he could be.  Hit a game tying layup, went down to the other end and swatted a shot away, then was the catalyst in an OT win.

GO MAVS!!!!!

Mavs/Suns.... Roll Eyes The battle of no defense. Should be a treat. Every game will be about 140-139

As the resident Spurs fan, I must say that the game last night (and the series in general) was awesome.  Have to hand it to the Mavs, they nearly gagged all over themselves but Nowitzki got them through it.  They earned their trip to the Western Conference Finals, since the Spurs wouldn't give up, even when down 20.

Kudos to the Mavs as I observe a minute of silence for my beloved Spurs, and now don my Miami Heat cap...

I thought the Mavs had no chance in overtime.  ...with 3 guys fouled out and the Spurs the better 2nd-half team, plus a rockin' house -- it was over.

Apparently not, though.  Go Mavs.

I think Timmy was spent by then.  He went 1 for 7 in OT.  I think he just ran outta gas.  Credit to the Mavs, they worked Duncan hard for 7 games.

Tim Duncan HAD to be the guy for the Spurs.  He could not get it done, and that guy Diop played great defense on him.

This is all very true.  However, I wouldn't go so far as to say he "could not get it done".  He carried the Spurs on one leg, scored 41 points in game 7.  No excuses, the Mavs deserved to win; I'm just saying I'm impressed that Duncan was able to play so well with plantar fasciitis.  He played like he was completely healthy.
