Yeah, I kinda don't get where this is coming from.

Finley's situation is unique and is from an obscure NBA rule.  I'm sure he would have loved to stay in Dallas, but why not go to the defending champs?  He's already rich, 1 or 2 +/- millioin ain't gonna matter dick....but it can't buy a championship ring, and the Spurs were the defending champs.
