Well, the Cubs have made a Trade..Phil Nevin for Jerry Hairston Jr.

First off...Jerry Hairston is the guy we traded Sammy Sosa.Hairston was supposed to be able to play 2nd base, and the outfield...really couldn't do either worth a damn. They kept saying in spring training,he was hurt last year....so he should dhow great signs of improvement...Yeah Right....He just plain sucked...I'm dancing with joy that Hairston is gone....

People that need to be gone from the Cubs roster...
Jerry Hairston jr.
Neifi Perez
Glendon Rusch
Henry Blanco

Well, that's just for starters.....

what a great deal for the cubbies.

What are they gonna do with Nevin when D-Lee comes back, though?

I hear that D-Lee could be back 10-12 days after he gets the cast off, which I keep hearing is next wednesday. Still, Nevin gives them an extra bat with some pop to it, and he can play the OF in a pinch.  Definitely a good deal for Chicago...

Yeah,D.Lee Should be back in the next 2 weeks...as fore mentioned...From the way Bob Brenly, and Len Casper were talking,Nevin can play 3rd,and both corner outfield spots, plus a emergency catcher if needed.

(But Stroke pretty much answered the question...)

The Cubs had an abundance of second baseman...T.Walker,J,Hairston,N.Perez,and I've heard Freddie Bynum could play second..(I'm not tottally positive about that...I know he plays SS,and OF)

The Cubs had an abundance of second baseman... ... N.Perez ...

Has there ever been a more hot-and-cold player in a Cubbies uniform than Neifi Perez? Some days the guy looks like an all star out there, and other days he looks like they ought to send him down to the minors. That kind of player would drive me absolutely nuts if he were in a Padres uniform.

Wink Notice that's why he's on the list.(He does drive me nuts)I feel,he might make a good fill in giving someone a day of rest once a week...but not used more than once a week.  Angry We use him everyother day. Angry
