I think it's just a matter of focus.  Right now, team management is the most important thing.  ...getting the right people in place, making the right choices, etc.  We have talent.  ...and they're in the front office.  Why not flaunt that?

If Channing Crowder goes out and starts the season by sacking people left and right, his ass could end up front and center in the next ad campaign. Until then, he should focus on the field, rather than the billboard, imo...
