This guy was on two different teams that won Super Bowls in consecutive years.  I was kinda hoping he would bring some of that luck our way.

Still, I have a feeling he wouldn't have been worth his fee so I am not really too upset.  I do think we need another quality tight end and need to stop fooling around at that position.

^^^I had mixed feelings about him joining the Fins, so I'm not that disappointed.

No great loss IMHO.  When was the last time he was an impact player?  Miami doesn't need an over the hill, over priced, over hyped player on the roster.

This is about how I feel about it as well.  Woulda been nice but not worth the drama (and money).  Carolina is a good fit for him...

NYG and NO weren't consecutive; PIT beat ARI in between.

Like a couple others said, I had mixed feelings about the idea.  Attitude is fine as long as you can back up the talk.  But when you spend half the time injured, you aren't adding much to your team.

I stand corrected.  For some reason I thought that he went to the Super Bowl in his first year with the Saints.  I suppose I have to many things to keep straight beyond things of this nature.  Thank you for the correction.

He would have added a dimension to our offense we don't have. An athletic tight end. In a straight time-share with Fasano our offense would have improved in that aspect. And it would have taken TE off the table for this upcoming draft as a need as we would have had a 1-year stop gap in place at TE. Dissapointed we didn't pull the triger here.

You can Thank Rob C. (Miami Hurricanes )  for landing Shockey. Shockey wanted to be reunited with the old coordinator. Oh well,  Fasano is still serviceable.  But i wonder why, was not Carolina on of the shittier Teams. But Who knows what gon happen when this up and coming season starts.
