Wow, this is a really risky pick, especially moving back up to do it. CBS had him flagged to go somewhere in the fifth round, lots of question marks about technique. Interesting to see Rang said the current NFL player he compares to is Richard Marshall! Shocked

Gave a lot of picks to get a guy with a 3rd day draft grade who doesn't fit the system well.

Ireland said he had no plans on trading back into Rd 3 but a couple CB's he liked went late Rd 3 and earlier than he thought so he had to trade back into Rd 3 to get a CB before all the ones they liked were gone

Some of the things he does really makes me scratch my head.

he thought with 3 picks atop Round 4 he would get one of the CB's he wanted, there was a late run on CB's in late rd 3 after he traded out he didn't expect.

It all worked out for him though. Still ends up with 2 picks in Rd 3 and now has 2 picks in Rd 4. Instead of just staying put and  having 2 picks in Round 3 and only 1 in Round 4.  By his 2 moves he gained a high Round 4 pick!

If I was him,  I'd trade one of those picks to recoup picks in the sixth and seventh rounds

I wouldn't. Too many good players on the board. Take Ryan Swoop and Shamarko Thomas and add 2 more quality players to this roster.

6th and 7th rounders are practice squad types. 4th rounders are guys who could make the roster and contribute right away
