If you read the website Lifehacker they have a series of articles This is how I work. They take a CEO,business person, celebrity, and ask them a series of questions based upon how they work, their favorite apps, tech, tips and tricks, etc.

A few things here probably don't apply but You can skip..

One of my favorites This is how I work...Alton Brown
http://lifehacker.com/im-alton-brown-and-this-is-how-i-work-1718241519

Currently the lifehacker staff is doing their "This is how I work"

Here's the This is how I work questions a few skipped for privacy, and possibly not fitting here,or added a TDMMC Modification to the original question

Skipped - current job,and location (TDMMC modification) Only answer if you want.

One word that best describes how you work:

Current mobile device:

Current computer:

What apps, software, or tools can’t you live without?

What’s your workspace setup like? (TDMMC modification) Do you have a special spot to work at home? what is it like?
(some of us might not have much control of our workspace in an office, etc)

What’s your best time-saving shortcut or life hack? (TDMMC Modification) What is a Lifehack,or time saving tip do you use all the time?

What’s your favorite to-do list manager?

Besides your phone and computer, what gadget can’t you work without and why?

What everyday thing are you better at than everyone else?

What are you currently reading?

How do you recharge?

What’s your sleep routine like?

What’s the best advice you’ve ever received?

Is there anything else you’d like to add that might be interesting to readers or fans? (TDMMC Modification) I don't see this one really applying here...Answer if you wish

current job,and location  - Manager at a law firm.

One word that best describes how you work: patiently

Current mobile device: iPhone6

Current computer: Standard Dell tower, running Win7, good memory and very large dual monitors.

What apps, software, or tools can’t you live without? Basic Microsoft Office Suite

What’s your workspace setup like? (TDMMC modification) Do you have a special spot to work at home? what is it like?
(some of us might not have much control of our workspace in an office, etc) I had the opportunity to have a big desk and I turned it down.  I have a small space.  I figure I'm going to clutter up whatever I have, so the less, the better.  I do some IT stuff off to the side.

What’s your best time-saving shortcut or life hack? (TDMMC Modification) What is a Lifehack,or time saving tip do you use all the time? I find that if I take the time to make sure someone understands things now, that it will save me time later.  I try to do that as much as possible.  Even with clients....you can get off the phone, but doing so means you're going to be on it longer later.

What’s your favorite to-do list manager? Nothing works like a pen and paper.

Besides your phone and computer, what gadget can’t you work without and why? Not sure if it counts, but again...a pen and paper.  Writing down lists, notes, organizing thoughts, etc -- doing that manually helps me work through things.  I also have a whiteboard where I diagram all kinds of things all the time.

What everyday thing are you better at than everyone else? My big thing at work is that I'm calm.  I'm not too high when things are good.  I'm not too low when things are bad.  Therefore, I'm given the task of taking on the most stressful things, because I don't wear the stress on my face or in my voice.

What are you currently reading? Ready Player One

How do you recharge? I take a really hot shower.  I like to listen to my podcasts in there in a shower-bath situation.

What’s your sleep routine like? I have a baby, so it's iffy.  On top of that, I don't like my bed or my mattress.  They both are new and expensive, but have just never worked for me.  I sleep on the couch half the time, between that and the baby.

What’s the best advice you’ve ever received? Some good advice I got from my brother once was "don't wait".  So like...if you have to make a decision and you'll stalling because you don't know the right choice, make one.  ...even if it's the wrong choice, you'll give yourself time to fix it.

I looked up the Pomodoro method online,I like the concept,I sort of do it when I'm working on my 3d modeling. Not really a few minutes working, break, work on it for a few minutes.

I work on something for an hour, leave it for a day, come back to it.Sometimes work on it for 30 minutes, take a break (stretch,Refocus my eyes looking outside, check twitter),then come back to it for 20 -30 minutes).

My job is pretty damn busy and if I don't break it down like that I can get sidetracked. By the end of the day I find I got NOTHING done. When I'm in a work phase I don't check email and try to have as few distractions as possible. It works as I'm getting more work done than ever before.

Unfortunately,my job is too dependent on things I can't control,or other people's decisions. There are days where I get absolutely nothing accomplished, but realize the harder I push to get something accomplished, just exacerbates the situation.

I plan on trying the method outside of work,on other things.
