THE ASSCLOWN AWARD

Just curious to hear what your opinions are on this matter

I have been battling severe mental health issues the last several months.  I have been living in an apartment, but often have to return home to sleep due to my severe nighttime anxiety.

My doctor prescribed a medication for me.  I took it Sunday with no effects.  After taking it on Monday, I woke up with a weird feeling in my chest.  I decided not to take it Tuesday.  I decided to take it Wednesday, and feel weird again.  I don't think I will take it again.

Is this the same logic the anti-vaxxers are using?

If you have been prescribed a medication for severe mental health issues, you should be discussing this with your doctor or other mental health professional, not randos on the internet.

The latter is exactly the logic the anti-vaxxers have been using.

All drugs have side effects, some quite serious. If you are experiencing side effects (and, by definition, you are), you need to talk to your prescribing physician.

Nope, nothing compared to anti-vaxxers.  As others have said you should speak with the prescriber of the medication.  Additionally, you could speak with your pharmacist, sometimes they know a lot more about the drugs than the doctor.

This 100%, i can verify having worked as a pharmacy tech for years, the amount of times i've personally had to call a drs office to ask for an alternative medication because the prescribed one would pose a deadly drug interaction is more than people assume.
