Well, what do you all think about Iron Man and the surprise at the end of the credits?

Frickin' incredible movie! Automatically jumps past every superhero movie ever made. Spiderman series a good second. Can't wait to see it again.

The "surprise" was total bs. But the tools who want to see Jackson rant and rave and cuss like made will get their rocks off, even though he is going to be nothing like how Nick Fury has been penned for decades, nevermind the fact he is an old white guy using super soldier serum.

Look into the Ultimate universe Nick Fury.

I didn't see what happened after the credits, but it was an awesome superhero movie.

Yeah, the surprise at the end was cool, but really, I'd actually rather have the David Hasselhoff Nick Fury to the Sam Jackson one. However, this is one of the better superhero films of all time. Hopefully Hulk and Hellboy can continue the trend this summer. Batman looks to be the best entry in the series.

The next movie in this series is going to kick ass. I predict action throughout, as the main plot elements are already in place. I see War Machine coming in at the end of Iron Man 2 to save Iron Man's ass. Then he gets a full role in Iron Man 3.

I think Favreau shut a lot of people up with this one...some thought he couldn't make a good movie without Vince Vaughn. And ever since seeing Downey Jr. in 'Kiss Kiss Bang Bang' it was apparent that he was exactly the right person to play tony stark.

Downey doesn't get the credit that he deserves because of his battles with drug and alcohol addiction but along with Johnny Depp, Sean Pean and Jude Law, he's one of the best actors over the past 25 years, starting with his bit role in the Rodney Dangerfield comedy, "Back To School".

You know you're good when you can emulate Charlie Chaplin and win an Academy Award for it.

As for Batman, Christian Bale IS Batman! He's believable. Michael Keaton looked like he was bored or could have been full of himself thinking that he was the next big thing (he was great in Clean and Sober), Clooney walked through the script and Val Kilmer just didn't like the material.

I was surprised to see you know who at the end of the movie. I have to agree with bsmooth on the fact that the guy at the end of the credits has lost a little bit of his zip on his out patterns and that may come from accepting too many projects within a year, lead, character and bit parts in all.

That was a psuedo one off to bring newer fans in. The continuous storylines, to include the mini series about the early life of Fury show two things.
1. He is very controlled, rational, and not into ranting and raving, hence he is the master of espionage.
2. HE IS FFFING WHITE.

stop changing major characters.

I just came back from Iron Man.  I loved it.  I'm so glad that movies are fun again.  This reminded me of Indiana Jones, in that it was just a damn good time.  Funny, bad-ass, characters you care about.  Good stuff.

As for Nick Fury, the Ultimate Universe one is different than the old one.
