Rams go with (OT)Safford, Vikings with (CB) Cook, Bucs with (DT) Price and the Chiefs just chose (RB) McCluster.

Clausen still on the board with the McNabb pick coming up.

Kindle is the other top-drop still there.

Cleveland go with a safety, TJ Ward.

What about Griffen at #8? Yeah, probably not given our first round pick, but still.

That TE pick from the Patriots was a lock once the trade was reported. Jumping the Ravens to get a TE. Important position for the Patriots, especially if Welker isn't 100%. How are Gronkowski's hands?

I hate the Gronkowski pick, because any time a player from my school goes to a team I hate, they always end up kicking ass. It also means I can't cheer for them any more, and that hurts.  Cry

It's alright... Not my favorite pick, but I think Singletary wants him as our SS, just to lay hits on people. We'll see how he works out in camp and what sort of role he has when the season starts. I am still so ecstatic about our two new O-Linemen that it would take a reeeeeally bad pick to piss me off.

This isn't a surprise either...I've known for a while that Singletary was a bit higher on Mays than a lot of other teams, and when our pick came up a few minutes ago, I shook my head and said "Taylor Mays." They announced it a few seconds later. I'm just reeeeally freakin' thankful that SF waited until the middle of rd two to go after him. I saw several mocks lining him up for SF at #17 and I cringed every time.

Regarding Clausen to Carolina: Can't help but wonder if slipping that far has hammered some humility into Clausen's skull (although I do think his attitude issues were overblown -- like everything else -- by the media). Nothing like losing a tens of millions of dollars to give someone a reality check. He'll come to into the locker room feeling he has to prove himself to everyone and, for him, that might be a very good thing.

My biggest concern (other than the lack of targets) is that the competition at quarterback is so weak. An established veteran he could learn from would've been better, IMHO.

Wink

I knew they wouldn't go there, but don't tell me Rooney (pick one) didn't think about how nice it would be to give Roethlisberger a swift kick in the rear on his way out...
