He is a Dolphin forever as far as I'm concerned. When asked about his Brother in Law Jason Taylor he had this to say:

Quote
"The Jets wanted him, so he had to go," Thomas said. "I hope he has a great year for himself, and they go 0-16. I've told him that, too."

Gotta Love It!!  They need to retire 54 pronto and get him resigned for a day.

I'm sure Zach was just busting his buddy's balls like all guys do to their friends.  I doubt there was any personal hatred towards Taylor, just the Jets in general.

But, he did play a season for the Dallas Cowboys. He will also be a Dallas Cowboy forever.

Of course . That was my point. You would think Zach would want to see the Jets Kill it this year to make the Trifecta look like Asshats. He still supports the Fins. The Man is class.

Thank God!!!  This is easily the right thing to do and I was worried that it wasn't going to happen.  I am hoping that Parcels would have done this even without public pressure, so I will give him the benefit of the doubt and say "thank you".

As a Dolphin fan, I feel nobody has demonstrated the spirit of professional football better than Zack Thomas!  His play may have slipped a little in his final few years (not entirely his fault), but lets not forget how great of a middle linebacker he was.

I would love to see his number retired!

The man was probably the hardest working Dolphin I ever witnessed while watching the Phins the last 30 yrs.  what he lacked in size and speed, he made up with in heart, hard work and a nose for the football.

He will ever be a Dolphin, a great person on and off the field.  I'm glad the front office made right by him, he deserved it.

Attention all Dolphin fans:  Zach Thomas wants you to insult his sister!!!!!

Zach Thomas will miss hearing Jets fans insult his sister
Posted by Michael David Smith on May 21, 2010 2:39 PM ET
When Zach Thomas and Jason Taylor were teammates on the Miami Dolphins, Taylor married Thomas's sister, Katina. When the Dolphins went on the road, fans of the opposing team would hurl insults at both players over their status as brothers-in-law and about Katina.

Now Thomas is retired and Taylor is with the New York Jets, and as he reminisces on his career, Thomas says he's actually going to miss those insults about his sister, insults that were often thrown around by the same Jets fans who will cheer Taylor this year.

"Now that you're talking about the Jets - you know what? I heard every little thing pre-game about my sister and Jason," Thomas said on 790 the Ticket in Miami, via Sports Radio Interviews. "Every year. I mean they got so nasty. It was kind of funny now that I look back at it. They went at me hard and they even went at Jason saying my sister looks like me with long hair, things like that. They went hard, but those are the things I really miss. The pre-game warmups on the road. They think they're helping the team out telling you these things, it only motivates you. It was awesome."

It was so awesome, in fact, that Thomas encourages Dolphins fans to act the same way.

"Even though I hate them, they're passionate fans, but I feel like our fans are even more passionate," Thomas said. "And hopefully they do the same thing to all these Jets players when they're warming up on the sideline."

Another positive thing I love about Zach is he was born to a Millionare Texan. Zach had the Proverbial "Silver spoon" but still choose to work as hard as he could until his body couldn't keep up. You would think some of these other athletes born from Poverty , Crack Head mothers , Etc. would be the ones that are so motivated to excel.  He didn't do it for the money and could have easily quit after the first or second concussion. He was driven. Watch Tape, break down plays, hit harder. get to the ball. He really understood what a Privilege is was to play in the NFL, not a right.
