Who do you think will break out this year and why?

I think Sean Smith will have a good year.  Last season, he was tops in the league at being where he needed to be, but dropped too many sure INTs.  I watched him in college and he had some of the most remarkable INTs I've ever seen then.  I really don't see him repeating what he did last year with the drops.

Rashad Jones is another one.  The guy plays with crazy intensity and with a year under his belt, I think he'll be that hit man we need in the secondary.

I liked what I saw of Jones last year for the amount of time we used him.

I'll go with a pair of rookies...

Mike Pouncey will have an outstanding season and start all 16 games. No Pro Bowl, but he'll make the all-rookie squad.

The TE we picked up in rd 6, Charles Clay, will exceed expectations and be top-3 on the team in receiving yards.

I agree with the Sean Smith call.  I'm also expecting a lot from Daniel Thomas.

I agree with you're prediction on Pouncey.

I think Clay will have a couple of stand out games, but will be wildly inconsistent....big game one week and disappear for a couple of weeks.  Not to say Clay will be a bust or anything...I think he's just what our team needs...but I think it will take him until his 2nd or 3rd year to be a constant factor.

I agree with the Sean Smith call.  I'm also expecting a lot from Daniel Thomas.
Good to see someone agrees with me about Smith and doesn't think he's already a bust....I say give him this year to prove it before making a judgment...he's still young.

About Thomas...I'm also expecting a lot of him.  I'm thinking he'll be a big part of our offensive production this year, but may have an above average number of turnovers.

Chad Henne....yeah, I said it
If we don't bring in another QB, I hope you're right!

Koa Misi should be in line for a great season as well.  Wake is going to be seeing a lot of double teams and extra attention this year, thus Misi should vastly improve his 5 sacks of last year

I am going with Clemons.  Jones will push him to be better and with a year of quality play behind him, I think he is an interception machine waiting to happen.  The guy was around so many balls in the air last year.  I think his tense play wears off and he starts to find a groove of completing the play.

I think Cam Wake has only scratched the surface of his ability. I think this guy has the potential to be an all time great pass rusher. 18+ sacks or so a season ability. NFL Superstar/household name talent.

I think you're right.  I really can't see him regressing at all baring an injury.  His motor is non stop and I only see him getting better.

Thinking back to when we drafted him, I was one of the ones that said, " OH NO!!!!"...since then, I've changed my mind.  He'll get his pro bowl sooner or later.
