Thanks...I feel so silly being so upset about losing my dog, but my heart is truly broken.
Don't feel silly. Animals become part of our families. I had a Maine coon cat from the time she was a kitten until I had to put her to sleep (14 years later). That crushed me. I have a beagle who is every part of our family as anyone else...she's getting up in age and it will be a huge hole in our family when her time comes. I don't even like thinking about it.
Personal advice? Don't get another dog for a while. Let your heart mend first.
