Site was down during the game, so this is a few days old.

I was out at the time and watched the game from a far-away TV.  It looked like Tua did pretty well, despite having no receivers.  Running game looked good.

What did I miss?

Tua didn't just look good, he looked phenomenal.  His early passes where short throws and letting his play makers make plays.  Later, he was chucking it down field.  Gaskin looked like an elite RB, running and catching.  Waddle was looking electric, then had a scare.  A defender ran into his legs away from the play and he limped over to the sideline and rolled around on the ground in pain for a bit.  He shook it off, went to the tent and was back into the game a few plays later.  Gesicki had a pretty sick catch over the middle.  Keep in mind, this was against a lot of ATL's second team defense, but it should also be noted Tua was throwing to his 4-7th WRs.  The starting defense shut them down.  Later in the game, Sam Eguavoen had 4 sacks and a safety.  The Dolphins couldn't have had a better preseason game.

I was happy with Tua but Eguavoen had a career night. He was unstoppable. That was kind of cool to see.

Tua's success will come from his accuracy and decision making. He isn't the fastest and he won't throw the farthest but he has a very high football IQ and we are starting to see that. He can have a very good year this season, not just by 2nd year QB standards, but NFL QB standards.

As long as he isn't throwing to 6th stringers every week and the team stops their unhealthy obsession with Jesse Davis.

+1

I only watched a few highlights of the game but liked what I saw from Tua & Eguavoen; also Gaskin had some nice receptions.  I realize it's only preseason but Tua was stepping up into the pocket and showed good pocket awareness; and had sharp passes into tight coverage.  Whether it's preseason or not those are great qualities.  I'm very optimistic.
