He was having a good game and was taken out in the 7th inning during an at bat. Boston says he wasn't injured, but that's hard to believe.

Figures, he finally has a good outing and he has to leave.

Clement's ankle is really sore.  He's not hurt, but after 93 pitches he was started to slip a little bit and not able to push off.  Rather than watch it go downhill quickly, Tito pulled him.  Clement should make his next start.

Taking a pitcher out at the right time. Wow, I read about managing like that but haven't seen it in person here.

It's not the "norm" to take someone out mid batter, but if the guy lost it...he lost it.  Why waste a good start?  In all honesty, Clement shouldn't have faced that next batter, but the ankle didn't get real sore until he was two pitches in.
