I have never looked for defensive stats on him.  I only know his fantasy baseball value, which, like football, doesn't concern his defense.  I never realized he sucked that bad.  I thought I heard his name and "gold glove" in the same sentence a few times...?

I guess not.

the guy is a good defensive second baseman, I don't know why everyone wants to move him to OF. I wouldn't want to move either. Outfielders just stand there for most of the game.

Um, are we watching the same guy?  He's TERRIBLE with the glove.  AWFUL.  If memory serves me right...

2001 - 19 errors
2002 - 23 errors
2003 - 19 errors
2004 - 23 errors
2005 - 21 errors

He's a COMPLETE liability at second base.  Lifetime fielding percentage of .970 for a second basemen?  If he wasn't a 30/100 guy he'd be playing in the Mexican League.
