The republicans admitted they were against the shut down but had to show unity to the tparty. Is that really who you want running our country with their hands on the nuke button? I think a sports site is the best place to discuss politics because it's no longer about beliefs and standards but about being a rep or a dem. They do what they want and keep the masses fighting amongst themselves. They just need to add cheer leaders

Not sure what you mean by this.  No offense to anyone directly but this place is as bad of "confirmation bias" as any other I have seen. Confirmation bias is where people remember information selectively, or when they interpret it in a biased way to support their already made up opinion.  I have been here for many years and have never seen anyone change someone else's mind. It's hard enough to find two people having a civil debate let alone listen to each other.
