Game ball goes to Ricky Williams.  Ran with authority on every touch tonight.  I'll be damned if he isn't starting on Opening Day.

Honorable Mention to David Kircus.  Made some tough catches and got up after a solid hit.  Reminded me of another undersized WR we let go to New England recently.... hmmmmm.

It's hard for me to give the game ball to Ricky since he only carried 5 times.  He did look good, but I'm going with Carpenter.  We only scored 6 points......and he had them all, including a 49 yard boot.

My Game Ball goes to rookie K Dan Carpenter.  Provided the team's only points of the game, and if he continues to kick like this Jay Feely might as well start packing.

My game ball goes to Phillip Merling...he looked very good out there, showed excellent pursuit and put bodies on the carpet. He's going to be the anchor of that D-line for a very long time...

Honorable mention to Henne for the reasons that Dave mentioned in the other thread...he looked poised, had good pocket presence and delivered nice crisp passes. In short, he looked like he belonged out there. Pennington shouldn't get too comfortable, because I think Henne's time is going to come sooner than later.

I give the ball to Henne.  I'm just surprised by how far along he looked, although it was nothing magnificent.  I'm just not used to being pleasantly surprised about the Fins for the last decade, so he gets the ball for evoking that emotional response alone.

You can add 11-20 3rd down conversions and 2-2 4th down conversions for the Bucs to that too.

I agree. Williams looked possessed when he had the ball. This guys will not back down off of a hit. You can see after the first 2 hits on the defence that they were backing off of him. I could see from up in the bleachers the heads from the defenders shaking after the play. Amazing!!!

WELCOME BACK "Run Ricky Run!!!"

I agree . I actually had that feeling of hope again. Hopefully we can snag a diamond in the ruff receiver on waivers .The offense was encouraging.

With all the game balls going to Ricky, and I love Ricky and agree , lets not forget Jake Long who helped block for him........... Wink

Defense needed more work then I expected. They never should have let Zack AND JT go. They wasted a 2.5 signing bonus on Josh McCown and let Zack go to the Cowboys for no compensation and he signed for $3 million. There is no leadership out there whatsoever. The Corner-backs are scaring me.........A Team like New England will Slice us apart.

The special Teams were Yellow short bus "special".
