I have to admit going into the this season I thought we had the worst wide receiving core in the whole NFL. But after watching the preseason games I have to admit I am excited to see what we may have, now understand I know we might add to what we have off the waiver files to improve our team. Here is what I like to see.

Ted Ginn Jr-I have been one of the biggest Ginn basher on the board, but this kid has been playing at a level that makes you say wow he is special.

Hagan-His biggest knock is dropping passes, he has dropped a few this preseason but hasn't in the last few games, the guy has the ability to get open so if he continues to catch the ball he will be a key player this year.

Bess- He may be small but he has guts and speed, he has been compared as a Wes Welker type of player. This walk on may walk away with a job in Miami.

Camarillo- I heard many people say he should return because he was the hero in 07, but Camarillo should return because of the way he has played in the preseason.

Armstrong-When Miami gave him a try out I rolled my eye's, but honestly the guy has looked good on the field, he gets open and the guy can take hits. I know he will be on the bubble, but wouldn't be surprised to see him make the practice squad.

Wilford- I believe he has been a huge disappointment, he has done nothing to show me he deserves to be on this team. The bad part is I believe he will be a starter because Parcells and company brought him in as their guy.

Tight Ends
Fasano- Has been impressive in preseason, looks like a lock.

Martin-Most likely will be the starter even though Fasano has been better.

Peelle-Plain old bad play, commits costly penalties, drops passes. This guy should have been cut already.

What do you think about our WR'S and Tight Ends ?

Ted Ginn has vastly improved his route running, and could very well emerge as the deep threat the Dolphins envisioned when they drafted him.

Derek Hagan-  His improvement on catching the ball has surprised even me.  He had all the tools, he just couldn't hold onto the ball.

Davone Bess-  Yep, definitely the second coming of Wes Welker... but with more speed.

Anthony Armstrong- Another pleasant surprise who can turn on the after burners.  Do you take a risk on this guy with a roster spot?  Or do you release him hoping you can stash him on the practice squad?

Greg Camarillo-  Yep, he scored that overtime TD against the Ravens that avoided an 0-16 season and certain disaster.  But his play this preseason has warranted him sticking around.  I see another Wayne Chrebet here.

Earnest Wilford-  Only reason he'll make this team is because of his height.  No other big receivers are on this team.  He will not start and might not even be the third receiver.

Anthony Fasano-  He'll start because he's one of Parcells guys and his play this preseason has warranted it.

David Martin-  I hope they cut him, but there's other TE on this roster worth keeping.  I don't see the need to keep three TE's anyway.

Sean Ryan- Good blocker, hands of stone.

Justin Peele- Sayonara.

why all the hating on Peelle?  I haven't seen particularly bad play from him.  Have I just been sleeping or what?

I'm all for a little optimism, but did Tommy just say that he sees Davone Bess as "Wes Welker with more speed" and Camarillo as "another Wayne Chrebet?"

Can we get a reality check here please?

I am just hapy to see people finally admit that Ginn is no where near as bad as he was being portrayed in the offseason. I still think the unit needs some improvement, but it may not be as bad as feared.

No you haven't been sleeping.  He has played fine.  Unfortunately he got blasted when the TD catch got called incomplete and soon after he got a penalty.  I think he was also out of position in a previous game for a illegal procedure penalty that killed us on a punt that we had recovered a fumble on.

I think it is safe to say Ryan is out, Fasano is in and what happens between Peelle and Martin is too tough to call.

The as forementioned mistakes...Peopel (well on this Board ) tend to forget, and Bitch about David Martin,But Peelle is the highest paid TE on the Roster
From Rotoworld.com

Justin Peelle 29 Yrs old 3/19/2006: Signed a three-year, $4.5 million contract. 2008: $1.3 million,Cap charge: $1.9 million (2008).

David Martin 29 Yrs old 3/4/2007: Signed a three-year, $3.57 million contract  2008: $730,000 (+ $75,000 roster bonus + $25,000 workout bonus),$1.23 million (2008)

Ok now I'm going to get ragged on for Brining up the cash aspect....

IMO Peellle, never could do one thing good, did everything Average....Not really a full time starter...

I like Bess,I've not seen enough Personally....

Ginn Looks Good,Seems to be our Only WR that will scare anyone at this pojnt (from what little I've been able to see)
Unfortuantely Pennington has to prove he can get him the Ball down field, and make big plays,to get 8 men out of the box....

Hagan, I'm still not buyiong it...He's looked good in Spirts during the regular season in the past, then disappeared...Sorry I'm not buying it itill I see it consistantly in the regular season.....Marty Booker all Over IMO...

I like Fasano, I want to see how he does in the Regular season....

Wilford? .....Wilford? .......Wilford? ....... My best friend's sister's boyfriend's brother's girlfriend heard from this guy who knows this kid who's going with the girl who saw Wilford pass out at 31 Flavors last night Seriously Has this guy played in the preseason?

I'm concerned that if anything happenes to Ginn,We'll have no playmakers on the outside...(and even with Ginn I wonder if we'll have any playmakers) IMO Bess, and Ginn are our Playmakers....Scarey thought Huh?

I feel most of big plays are going to come out of the Backfield Ronnie and Ricky...The WR's...

tb wr michael clayton is on the trading block (or might eventually get cut if there are no takers). would he be worth a late round pick to add some depth to the fins receiving corp?

I doubt it.  You want to stockpile draft picks at this point, not give them up. However, if he doesn't survive the final cuts in Tampa, I would definitely snatch him up.

Living in Tampa I've seen a lot of Clayton...he hasn't played at a very high level since his rookie season...I could see why we would want to give him a shot because of his size but he has hands of stone...his best attribute is his run blocking...I've seen him light some corners and safeties up.  I've seen him drop some very key passes from Garcia, who doesn't have much of a rocket arm himself...I don't think he'd be an improvement on our roster.

I can see it now if he came to Miami many people will say,"Is he related to Mark ?"
