I know that last weeks win was great.

But to show teams that we are serious, we have to beat San Diego. We've got them at home in the heat.

And I think that we are playing the Chargers at a good time. Gone is Shawne Merriman. You lose an All-Pro, it has to affect your defense. With a healthy Merriman on the field in Denver, the Chargers win that game by at least six points.

Face it fans, LT has hit the 8 or 9 year mark and that means "decline". he won't be able to turn it on every game like he used to. Thank God for Darren Sproles (that's who Miami better key on).

Vincent Jackson has shown strides but is still inconsistent. Chris Chambers has four touchdowns but he's still the same Chris Chambers to me. Hit him a couple of times and like bsmooth says "he folds like an accordion".

The Norv Turner effect. Great O-Coordinator...born loser. Only Norv Turner can get an obvious fumble in the eyes of millions ruled as an incomplete pass. hanging around Wanny too much in the offseason.

The last game was like a "take notice" game. This game should be a game that at least would tell pundits that the Dolphins are going to play hard every quarter and don't laugh when you see them on the schedule.

It would be nice to beat San Diego.

I'd like to see Miami beat the Bolts as well, but come on, ethurst...pretty much everything you just said has so much of a homer slant to it that I almost fell out of my chair trying to read it.

We get them in the heat? Really? Have you ever been to San Diego in the summer? Pretty damned hot there too...

LT on the decline? How about "had a minor toe injury and is fine now."

Vincent Jackson, Chris Chambers...you make them sound like bums, despite the FACT that both are light years better than any WR that Miami will line up this season.

Rah-rah scale: 10/10
Reality scale:  negative-something/10

That's an insult man! You just called me Andy Cohen!

I'm trying not to be a homer but there's something wrong with the Chargers this year. It's strange but it's almost like their window has been slammed shut and I hate it because that means the next team in that division is the Broncos and you know when you say Broncos on this board in invokes a certain individual that is beyond reason when it comes to the Denver Donkeys... Shocked

I did call you andy Cohen there, didn't I? A thousand apologies...I didn't realize the depth of my insult.

As far as "something wrong with the Chargers this year" goes... I disagree. I think they were primed to have a slow start, due to the best player on offense being nicked up (LT) and the best player on defense being even more nicked up (Merriman). I saw a lot of improvement from them this past week, as LT got back untracked (the toe is peachy now), and the defense started figuring out ways of compensating for Merriman's absence. I still see a ton of talent on both sides of the ball, and I still see a one-way ticket to the playoffs just waiting for the Bolts.

The Bolts are NOT the Pats becuase they are a team still healthy and firing on all cylinders. As long as we keep it close and don't get blown out I'd be satisfied.

Wait Defense, where is the guy who believes in this team ? We are out classed in the QB,WR and TE positions, but I believe we can compete with our running game. If the smart Chad Pennington shows up we can pull this off. Imagine if and when we beat San Diego all the talking heads will be forced to give Miami credit and stop using San Diego in superbowl talk. This team can do this and don't forget the confidence from the New England game has a chance to take a stronger hold with the bye week. I believe, I believe, I believe.

I hope not, I don't know if you are a dolfan but if you are you aren't on this board because you are a bandwagon fan, especially if you suffered through last year. We need to get beyond the last two years and start believing in this team week in and week out. Theres plenty of room for so jump on and enjoy this great ride.

Oh I believe. I believe Bill Parcells has us on the right track. I hate the Jets so I'll never not say we are gonna win against them. The Arizona game really surprised me. I thought we really had a good chance to beat them. For the Pats I just kinda felt it in my bones that we were gonna beat them.  But the chargers? I guess its my inner self defense mechanism going off. I just don't want to get my hopes up yet only to be stepped on like a finished ciggy butt. Sometimes Bye weeks are not what they are cracked up to be......sometimes all that momentum is hard to get going again.

You are Andy Cohen. It's the only rational explanation for your ridiculous posts at times.

Last year they started 1-3, and they turned out fine. Something wrong with the Chargers? They are scoring damn near 40 every game. The Dolphins couldn't light up the Jets like the Chargers did.

Their "window" has been slammed shut? WHAT? They play in the worst-defensive division in the history of the national football league, including the mediocre broncos, the horrible raiders, and the even more horrible cheifs.

They can very well make the super bowl this year.

The Giants are mediocre also. Last year they were also mediocre. 10-6 does not make you a world beater. Who have they beaten so far? Buffalo should've stepped on the Giants collective throats last year and they bailed them out.

Wait you are telling Denver scoring left and right and are 3-0 are mediocre ? If so I wish Miami was a mediocre team and so don't the chargers. How can you take what Jay cutler has done this year away from them. I hate to say it because Denver would jump for joy, but Denver MAY be on their way to the superbowl. Do you realize San Diego defense broke down against the Broncos despite the bad call. Give Denver credit dude.

Yeah, they looked pretty mediocre last year holding up the Vince Lombardi trophy.  Roll Eyes

Denver's defense IS mediocre, and it's on the south side of Mediocreville...but their offense is so insanely good that they'll still win 11-12.

imo, the AFC West will put two teams in the playoffs this season.
