What're you playing? (11/13/08)

Haven't seen one of these threads around for a while, and given the release of Gears of War II, and a couple of other solid games recently - i figured i'd start one off again.

At the moment, i can't get enough of Gears II on the 360.

The game itself is just superior to the original in every way. Which i find to be somewhat unique in itself, given that, with the majority of sequels there is always certain aspects of the previous title that a liked, which would be missing (some of the Multiplayer Levels on the original Halo come to mind). But everything about Gears its pretty much top notch.

The ONE thing that pisses me off so far is the amount of online games which suddenly disconnect, which is i understand a combination of numerous factors, but i'd expect this along with some small glitches in the game to be fixed with a patch pretty soon.

So, its all about Gears II for me, along with Fallout 3.

Any other good titles i'm missing out on?

I've been playing a lot less lately, but I'm all about Gears 2 right now.  I'm still working my way through the Co-op story and haven't played much online, but I'm looking forward to getting involved with the Horde mode.

Also, I'm playing NY Times Crosswords on the DS.

I haven't been playing much of anything lately...but now that the wedding is over, I'm going to play Indiana Jones on my Wii...I play my DS before bed a few minutes everyday.  Dave, I am still trying to beat puzzle quest...it goes on FOREVER!

If you like Pac Man CE, they also made a new game called Galaga Legions, which is a similar kind of update.  Most people who like one, like the other.

Well damn Jeno hit me up for some Horde. I've gotten to wave 27 and then we lost a guy and got all over run. I use the same name on here that I have on live so send me an invite. Unless you already have and I'm just a stoner and don't remember. 

And I agree with you 100% of the way on the online for gears 2. My biggest beefs are the matchmatching process, which one time took almost 10 minutes or so before I finally found a team and I think the chainsaw is way too powerful now. I know that's why they did the chainsaw duels but it is getting a little outta hand. And smokes suck too, but that's cause I haven't figured out how far I have to roll away to not get knocked on my ass.

I've been playing Spore for PC....if you're creative, it's a really fun game....not really as expansive as it was hyped up to be, but still a fun play.

Still playing Diablo 2...waiting for Diablo 3.

Wanting to play Tom Clancy's Endwar....anyone played it yet?

PC - Battlefield 2/SF CO-OP (The game has been renewed, no more playing with hacks and cheats online, and dare I say a much more enjoyable experience. Now if only 2142 can get in the game...)

I actually just cleared Wave 50 last night, but i'm always up for a game man. I've still gotta do loads of stuff in the game so i'll be sure to add you.

Although the multiplayer leaves a bit to be desired, Gears II is still a solid game. And GTA 4 has been suprisingly good online too.

I bought Fallout 3 for the Xbox and, so far, it's not sucking me in at all.  I can't get into it.  Be a shooter or be a roll player...don't be both. 

I'm playing The Force Unleashed on the DS right now.

On the DS I'm playing the new Castlevania.

Maine, I actually like FallOut III as a shooter RPG. It's more up my alley than say, Oblivion was.

Has anyone here checked out Fable II?
