The downside of doing well everyone wants you coaches.

If he's under contract, he can't go there unless he's being promoted.

Did you read the article? It basically is saying they may have interest in him if they decide to part ways with Herm Edwards. That means as the HEAD COACH.

Is Clark Hunt sure he hired the right guy in Scott Pioli?  Look, I liked a lot of the stuff that Coach Pasqualoni did as our Defensive Coordinator, but I'm not sure if he's NFL HC material.  KC can do better.

They need to follow the Rooney Rule then.

They are considering keeping Herm, he got the first interview.  And Pasqualoni is not the only  candidate.

Is he really?  Let's see if he can build a good D without the advantage of videotapes.  His defenses on the Browns were always in the bottom half of the league.

Actually, the Browns rank 14th in the league against the pass, allowing only 204.6 yds per game in the air.  The Dolphins ranked 25th.

Wow, you really are ignorant of the facts.

It is statements like this that shows the extent to which folks ignore the facts about what happened and try to make the filming of defensive coordinators and cheerleaders instead of using the process of writing the signals down into something bigger than it was.

To the extent the use of a camera instead of recording defensive signals instead of using a pen and paper to do the same thing aided the Patriots, such aid would be on offense not defense.

Yeah, and different offenses (Pittsburgh and Jacksonville to name a couple) saying "It was like they were right there in the huddle with us".  Or what about Matt Walsh taping the Rams offensive walkthough the day before Super Bowl XXXVI??

I'm sorry.  Romeo Crennel was the defensive coordinator the whole time Belicheat was supposedly filiming the other team's walkthroughs.  Once he proves he can do it on his own, then I'll believe it.  That hasn't happened.

You really are ignorant.  Matt Walsh didn't tape the Rams walkthru or anybody else's.  That is well established at this point.

The article didn't say they were going to hire him, just that they had interest in him. Yes, they have to abide by the Rooney rule, but does that mean they can't express interest in a non-minority candidate?
