The Broncos have parted ways ("mutual agreement") with defensive coordinator Mike Nolan. Rumor is the Dolphins are flying him in for an interview ASAP.

I would really love that...Nolan is a very good DC.

D_B is right to scream...that'd be a hit to the Broncos staff, imo.

I'm with you.  I liked him in SF, classy coach, who believed wearing a suit projected an image of authority while also honoring his father, Dick, the 49ers' coach from 1968-75, and Hall of Fame coaches such as Tom Landry and Vince Lombardi.

maybe he can bring something new to the table, fire the DEF up.

I hope he gets the job.

^^^ To put my 49ers fan history in perspective...I remember the original Coach Nolan. He was the Niners head coach when I first started to seriously follow the NFL as a kid.

Mike Nolan is definitely a class act, and one helluva defensive gameplanner. I think he'll do well if he gets the DC gig here in Miami.

Hiring the son of a former coach seems to have worked well for the Jets.

Come on, Phins...Ink the guy! Get it done today.

Awesome!  I was starting to get a little concerned there for a while when the applicant pool was starting to dwindle.  We had plenty of time on this issue, but I am not sure that the potential takers would have been worthwhile if we had waited much longer.

Nolan seems to be an excellent fit, IMO.

I always like when we hire former head coaches as co-ordinators.

The lone exception is Dave Wannstedt, but he wasn't a co-ordinator, and sucked as a head coach.
