Down 0-2, the Lakers have the advantage!

Remember that we are talking about a franchise that has had 2 major NBA post-season choke-jobs in the last few years:

Up 2-0, and up 17 points in the 4th quarter of Game 3, lost 4 straight to the Heat in the NBA Finals
After winning 67 regular season games the next season and as the #1 seed, they lost to upstart Golden State in 6.

Don't count out the Lakers quite yet. With the Mavericks, there's always the possibility that they will blow it.

After watching last nights game I think LA is done. They are not the same team this year and Pau has been pretty bad. They missed at least 12 layups, 18 3 pointers, and 8 or 9 free throws. Then mailed it in Lebron style in the 4th quarter. They picked a bad time to have a horrible game already down 1 in the series. They certainly have the talent when they are clicking to be the best team in the league by a long shot but they are not clicking and haven't been since their run after the all star break ended. They have to win both in Dallas to have any chance of staying alive and I just do not see that happening with this squad. They may win 1 but they may also be swept. The Lakers teams of the last few years were dominant at home and after trailing by a game in any series came out with fire and intensity and they did not last night. I also would not attribute the Mavs past collapses to anything related to this season. This is a solid team and a different team.

Hell yeah Phish it has been a great run. If they lose and go home it would suck because I want to see Phil get his 4th three peat before he retires but at the same time you can't win them all and it has been fun to watch the purple and gold for the last 4 years.

I guess we can now count them out.  After seeing the ass raping they took from the Mavs today, it's safe to say Phil Jackson is done coaching.  Frankly, he's been nothing but a babysitter for superstars.  Put him on a team like the Clippers or Nets and he gets absolutely nowhere. 

Additionally, the stunts that Lamar Odom and Andrew Bynum pulled today were unacceptable, and they should be hit with heavy fines and be suspended for a few games to start next season.  That type of shit is completely classless.  If you are a champ, you need to learn to lose like one.  I guess Phil can't teach his players that. 

This leaves the Lakers with a ton of question marks for next year.  First, who will be the new coach.  Second, what do you do with this roster?
