Tannehill

But hey, a rookie quarterback is going to make those mistakes.  He'll grow and learn.

Also the defense melted.  Another heartbreaking Miami Dolphins defeat once again.

I give it to Carpenter again.  His miss ultimately cost the Dolphins this game.  He needs to go.

Tannehill, for sure.  Can't turn the ball over that much.

He was also the best player on the field for the Dolphins, so he'll get my Player of the game, too.  He came a long way today, and hopefully, should learn from his mistakes.

If you think Carpenter had anything to do with this game's loss, you need to put the crack pipe down, step back, take a deep breath and actually watch the game.

Missing a 51yd FG early in the 3rd quarter had ZERO to do with the outcome of today's game.

^^^^

Agreed.  Kickers are not perfect and you can't blame this loss on a 51 yarder early in the second half

Legedu Naanee. That was a ridiculous fumble at a very crucial time. He is a having a very rough year.

That's one of the most ridiculous gaffes I have ever seen on a football field.  Does he take the short bus to the games?  If he's on the roster come Monday, maybe the SOG should be Philbin/Ireland for not doing what's painfully obvious.

Very tough call this week.  The players who made mistakes, also made huge plays that put us in a position to win.  Tannehill had a critical turnover, but threw for over 400 yards.  Smith gave up a TD, but had 2 picks.  Even Carpenter, who missed a key kick, made a TD saving tackle.

I could easily go with Naanee, who had one ball thrown to him when he was wide open and fumbled it; but his mistake was negated by Smith's endzone interception, and Tannehill followed up with an 80 yard TD strike on the next play.  No damage done.

When it's all said and done, I have to go with Tannehill.  Even though you can argue that it wasn't his fault, his OT turnover put the Cardinals in a position to win.  Unfortunate that his solid effort wasn't enough.

See ... I see it differently. If our defense hadn't had to bail us out maybe they would have had more at the end of the game.

Had the defense not shit the bed it's not an issue either.  Why hold one man accountable for a very long FG attempt, when there's a defense that can't stop anybody when they need to.  You can't be that small minded.  Way too many mistakes were made after that kick in the 40 minutes of football that followed to hang it on a kicker.  It's sheer madness.

Had Carpenter made that kick early in the 3rd, I think it would be very likely the defense would have found a way to let AZ make up the difference.  2 weeks in a row, this defense has found a way to let teams score in crunch time.

Easy to pick Carpenter, but......the kicker didn't blow leads at 13-0, 13-7, or 21-14. I gotta go with Philbin. Its just eerie on how they cannot put a game away.
