I love music...always have, always will. I love different songs for different reasons, but some songs, regardless of genre, have a way of evoking an emotional response from me every time I hear them. The following is a list of songs that I cannot listen to without having some very strong feelings. Some happy, some sad, some other...  I'm sure many of you have similar responses to certain songs, and I invite you to share...

1)  The Fray - How to Save a Life
2)  David Lanz - Leaves on the Seine
3)  Civil Twilight - Letters From the Sky
4)  Queen - Bijou
5)  Kenny Chesney - There Goes My Life
6)  Five For Fighting - 100 Years
7)  Nina Simone - Feeling Good
8 ) David Baerwald - Stranger
9)  Phil Collins - Long, Long Way to Go
10) Imagine Dragons - Radioactive

Eagles - The Last Resort

Louis Armstrong What a Wonderful World

If I extended my own list, both of these would make it. The Last Resort was actually my favorite song for several years. Another song in the same vein as The Last Resort that I really like is Dire Strait's "Telegraph Road."

"Then came the churches, then came the schools
Then came the lawyers, then came the rules
Then came the trains and the trucks with their loads
And the dirty old track was the Telegraph Road..."

By the way...one of the underlying purposes for this thread is to get a list of new potential "songs that make me feel" that I may not have heard of to this point. Wink

Some of these songs make me happy, some make me sad, make me think,or take me to a very specific place and time. They all move me in some way...

Patty Loveless - How can I help you say goodbye
Bon Jovi - 99 in the shade
David Lee Roth - Just like paradise
Autograph - turn up the radio
Billy Joel -it's still rock n roll to me
Iron Maiden - Can I play with madness
John Parr -Naughty,naughty
Gorky park- Bang
Ozzy- Time after time
the Outfield -your love
Rhett Akins- Old dirt road

(I tried to keep them happy for the most part...I'm in a good mood...In an hour they could all be country songs.... Cheesy )

The Last Resort was actually my favorite song for several years.

When I was in college this was a song that stopped everthing my roomates were doing and we would sing along. We drank at a bar called The Last Resort every Wednesday and we would play this song at some point before leaving.

I knew I loved you

Is that a personal message or a song title. If the former, then...um, thanks, I guess.  If the latter, who is the artist?

Cranberries - Linger

The Fugees - Killing Me Softly

Hell yes, and Hell yes...both are on my iPhone playlists. Another Cranberries tune I like...and that really fires me up is "Zombie."

Tears For Fears- Everybody Wants To Rule The World

I'm pretty much good with anything ever done by Tears for Fears, but the song from their collection that really grabs me and makes me feel it is "Mad World."

"And I find it kind of funny
I find it kind of sad
The dreams in which I'm dying are the best I've ever had..."

I honestly did not... Taking it a step further, I have no idea what Savage Garden even sounds like.

I will check them out though...
