The Sanchize looks like he'll miss the season with a torn labrum (auto correct insists it should be labium... no joke).

His days as a starter in this league are over. He will make a nice salary wearing a baseball cap and carrying a clipboard for many years in this league though

There is no saving the Jet's season. They won a fluke and if they win tonight it will be a fluke as well. This team goes nowhere and Rex loses his job.

Shouldn't good ole Rex have already been shown the door? Grin

I hope Rex is the Jets coach until he dies....the longer he is there....the longer that team continues to suck royal donkey scrotum.

Considering a new GM was brought in, I'm surprised he wasn't.  They suck this year, him leaving is a definite.

Woody Johnson told all potential GM hires that Rex had to stay.

I'll bet he didn't get his pick of the top GM's then.

Even w/o the injury Mark wasn't going to be the starter for more than a few games.  Smith wasn't drafted to be the back up, he was drafted as the replacement.

The injury does make it a bit easier on Geno and Rex cause it eliminates some of the drama, when Smith has a bad game.

I do expect Rex to be fired at the end of the season, but I doubt he will be unemployed for more than a couple of days, he will be DC somewhere.  Clearly he is a victim of the Peter Principal, he is a brilliant DC, but lacks the maturity to make the transition to HC.
