Direct quote from the Treasury department: “We have heard concerns about the complexity of the requirements and the need for more time to implement them effectively.”

Reports seem to suggest that the Canadian outsourced government health exchange website is having its own complexity problems and concerns. They seem to need more time to implement the individual mandate. But then again, this was anticipated by some.

Let the nightmare begin for the Obama supporters. Hope every fucking one of them gets what they deserve.

I myself have recently been informed that my insurance is going up $2724 per year or $227 a month of money I don't have to spend. Needless to say, health insurance for my family is now unaffordable due to the AFFORDABLE CARE ACT! But then again, this was anticipated by some.

While I'm sure there are some who would greatly prefer the old system, where you had very affordable monthly premiums and then your insurance company simply cancelled your coverage when you needed it most, I'd prefer a system where paying for health insurance means the insurance company is actually required to pay for claims when I get sick.

But if you would rather have the cheapest possible rate for something that you may not be able to use when you need it, I have some extremely affordable tiger repellent for sale...

It's too bad the WWW didn't exist in the '60s.  I would find it quite hilarious to find conservative news outlets scouring the countryside to just find people to say, "Yeah, I was in favor of this Medicare thing, I think it's important to take care of our seniors and I'm looking forward to that security when I get older... but when I got my paycheck and saw that the government took money away from ME, I was shocked!"

P.S. I'd say the money quote from the article above, from the gentleman who will be paying $10k more per year for his family's new (better, it bears mentioning) coverage:

"I'm not against Obamacare," Waschura said. "It's just the initial shock. I'm holding out hope that there will be a correction over a handful of years."

To be fair, the original original article is from the San Jose Mercury News (hardly a bastion of conservatism), and the thrust of it is the same as the Breitbart article.

Of course, why drive traffic directly to the Lamestream Liberal Media when you can direct it to a conservative copypaste of their articles?

Actually I have found that site like this, twist the article into their own words, knowing the majority of readers will not continue on to the original article to see the differences. Both sides play this journalistic game.

Why am I not suprised.

http://freedomoutpost.com/2013/10/obama-allow-amnesty-rally-national-mall-kicking-veterans/

Unbelievable! Are the Republicans and Democrats in congress so entrenched against one another that they are willing to allow this president to systematically destroy our country, while they all stand by and do nothing? Apparently so.

It's a truly a sad day when individuals that are in this country illegally have more rights than those that shed their blood to defend this country and it's people. Sickening.

What made you think that? Almost everyone has a family, unless of course you're Jesus Christ.

The Obama administration is allowing people to use national parks sometimes, but not during other times?  Why didn't anyone mention that a government shutdown would be this unthinkably heinous?

I mean, I could live with thousands of disabled war veterans going hungry so the Republicans can stop people from getting healthcare, but a hungry disabled veteran not being able to look at a memorial with his fallen comrades' names on it?  That, sir, is a bridge too far.

Almost everyone has a family, unless of course you're Jesus Christ.
That's evading the question.

Is it your claim that healthcare costs for you and your partner and/or dependents has risen $227/month?   Because that's what the following implies:

I myself have recently been informed that my insurance is going up $2724 per year or $227 a month of money I don't have to spend. Needless to say, health insurance for my family is now unaffordable due to the AFFORDABLE CARE ACT!
If that's true (and since you have volunteered yourself as a case-in-point), I am curious whether you get your insurance through your employer, or whether you previously purchased it on the open market?

Well, in this thread: http://www.thedolphinsmakemecry.com/forums/index.php?topic=21845.45 you said:

Quote
Yep, that's what I'm doing right now. I have been in a relationship for 2 years and I'm not sure that I want to marry this person. Hell, I'm not sure that I'll ever get married. If I do decide to get married, I expect it to be for life.

So you're definitely not married. I guess you have kids with her? Definitely not from a previous marriage since you don't believe in divorce. So, I'm just curious whose insurance you are paying for.

I'm paying for myself and my 2 children through my employers insurance. And since you have to change the subject and make this thread about my personal life. My wife died in a car accident in 2008 you bunch of assholes.

You inserted your personal life into this thread, not us.

The statements "Hell, I'm not sure that I'll ever get married" and "If I do decide to get married, I expect it to be for life" are very strange coming from a person that now claims he has children from a previous marriage.

It's almost like you just invented a family to pay insurance for, just so you could claim that you're being wronged by Obama... while forgetting that you had previously admitted that you weren't married.

And you left out these quotes from the original article.....I'm sure by accident:

"People like Marilynn Gray-Raine. The 64-year-old Danville artist, who survived breast cancer, has purchased health insurance for herself for decades. She watched her Anthem Blue Cross monthly premiums rise from $317 in 2005 to $1,298 in 2013. But she found out last week from the Covered California site that her payments will drop to about $795 a month."

"Not all of the sticker shock can be blamed on Obamacare.

Health care inflation costs routinely increase at least 4 percent annually, said Ken Wood, a senior adviser for Covered California. Those increases, he noted, are due to an aging population and the rising costs of new medical technology and drugs, among other factors.

But Wood, Wu and others also said premiums will rise as a result of people getting better insurance under the new law, which requires most Americans, with few exceptions, to buy health insurance no later than March 31, or pay a minimum $95 annual penalty."

"The law also will often make some policies more expensive because it limits out-of-pocket expenses to $6,350 annually for an individual and $12,700 for a family. In addition, the law restricts the minimum and maximum premiums that people can be charged based on their age.

Now, a 64-year-old can be charged almost five times more than a 21-year-old. Beginning Jan. 1, it will be a 3-1 ratio."
