Timecrimes (2007)

Premise: After making a strange discovery, a man flees from an attacker and unknowingly hides out in a time machine, creating a time-loop.

Rating: Very good.

This is a Spanish film, so I watched it with subtitles.  Even if you aren't big into subtitles, this movie is mostly visual and there is a lot of showing without telling.  There isn't much dialogue about the mechanics of time travel, so it's a pretty each watch.  I stumbled across it online in a streaming window, but couldn't find it easily through Netflix or cable.     http://latestonlinemovie.com/timecrimes-2007/

As far as time-travel movies go, this wasn't too hard to follow and I felt like I was ahead of the curve on a lot of the twist elements.  I am left with a full understanding of the events, but still questioning how they got set in motion.  Perhaps I'm not supposed to know.

This film is essentially one actor.  He interacts with three other people, but it's not intensely dialogue driven and it's in Spanish, so it's difficult for me to comment on the quality of acting.  Everything seems pretty believable, though.

It's hard to talk too much more about it without giving away important elements, so I'll just leave a recommendation.  If you like time-travel movies, you will enjoy this -- it's pretty straightforward and not very long.  Even if you are turned off by subtitles, you should give it a go.
