This is the first decade since 1910 the NYY won't be in the WS.

The *way* they did not make it is glorious.  108 win season, overcoming injury after injury...massive come back on the road - only to be Bucky effin' Dent'd.

I'm not bitter.

Thanks, Houston.

I got my wish in these playoffs...no Dodgers or Yankees in the World Series.

My favorite non-Padres player in the league is the Nationals' SS, Trea Turner, so I'll be cheering for the Nats in the Series.

Rooting for the Astros.

The “Billy Beane” in me always prefers when a small payroll team beats a luxury tax team.

Yeah I realize my favorite team is one of the top three offenders.  I would like baseball to have an equitable system like football, rather than the Red Sox being in an arms race with the Yankees.

You should root for Washington by this logic, they have less payroll than Houston.  Houston is a massive payroll team (#7 in the league).  Not a small market, low spender by any stretch.

Maybe it's just because I'm old but I swear it is still odd to me to see two National League teams playing int he World Series.

Yeah, I finally got past that when the 'Stros went to the Series a couple of years ago...

Has there ever been a World Series where the visiting team has won every game?

Nope.  This is the first ws in which visitors won the first 6 games.
