Watchmen is a lock.  I went with Shazam for my second pick.  I was expecting it to be a stinker and it was surprisingly good.

Watchmen kicks ass.  Fight me.

Dredd also kicks ass.  Fight me again.

Watchmen is slightly gratuitous with it's sex stuff and a lot of the subtext is lost, but for a straight adaptation, it did it.  The visual style is incredible.  I do wish that they'd just gone all out and did the squid ending, though I understand why they didn't.  It's a little bit of a shame that they made the switch to make it more of a swallowable pill for regular audiences, but then those same audiences didn't support the film.

Dredd is the tits.  I wish more people would watch that film.  Huge balls to never take the guy's mask off.  It's a really great super hero film done on a small budget and really shows you how to make a film about a mysterious character by not really making him the main character.  Really cool.  Watch it if you haven't.

Shazam! and Watchmen.

My review for Shazam pretty much says it all.  The movie didn't do as well as I expected, but I still loved it.

I haven't seen Dredd, and Lego Batman was OK but unspectacular.  So I went with Watchmen for my second choice.

Dredd was a pretty awesome movie in it's own right, I agree.  Shazam nudged it out IMO, but not by much.

None of  you seem to understand...I'm not locked in here with you...You're locked in here WITH ME!!

I haven't seen Shazam...and I haven't seen ANY of the Lego movies. Fortunately, Watchmen is top-5 in my all-time fave comic book movies, and I really enjoyed Dredd as well.

Shazam is actually pretty good.  It's kinda like Big with Tom Hanks.  Funny too and the ending is clever.  I think this was just a pretty good group.  Lego Batman was fine.
