Even though there were only two games on the opening night slate, it felt so damned good to watch real baseball last night.

Marlins and Rays (and my beloved Padres) start their season today...

     LET'S GO PADRES!!
(clap, clap, clap-clap-clap)

And then it was over.

Wow...and they aren't even reporting it on MLB.com. What a scoop you got!

If the Marlins didn't tell the Phillies management, it's going to be a firestorm.
If they did, and Phillies management didn't tell the players, it's going to be a firestorm.
If everyone knew and went ahead anyway, MLB as a whole will be canceled within 2 weeks due to systemic incompetence.

Is there any indication from anywhere that this occurred?

Or are you just posing the possibility?

^^^ He started each sentence with "If," so I am assuming Spidey is just contemplating WCS's

Logically, I think one of those three scenarios would necessarily have to be true.
We do know for a fact that the Marlins were aware of three additional positive tests on Sunday before the game started, and chose to go ahead anyway.  As usual, the next question is who else knew, and when.

So the Marlins and the Phillies have multiple players testing positive.   Quarantine both teams for 14 days and make them forfeit their scheduled games.  Don't make the rest of MLB suffer for them not taking care of themselves.

You are nothing if not consistent.  PUNISH THE SICK for being ill.  Society at large has no responsibility to those who fall ill to a virus.

You quarantine the sick, not the healthy.  The rest of MLB should not have to shut down because two teams have positive tests.  Just like everyone's business should not have had to shut down because less than .05% of the population died of this virus.

Your liberal mentality is just sickening.

Absolute disaster.  The MLB season is / should be a cautionary tale of how not to launch.  I didn't think they would get it off the ground (they did), I don't think they should have, I'll keep hedging my bets and say they won't make it to the end.  I hate this.
