I don't know where this thread is going but I felt like making a list of each system I've ever owned and the game that defined that system for me.  In some cases, it's the reason I bought the console, in some cases, it's the game that I played the most.  In some cases, it's the game that I've gone back to revisit

NES - Super Mario Bros. 3
Gameboy - Tetris
SNES - Donkey Kong Country
N64 - Super Mario 64
Gameboy Advance - Metroid: Zero Mission (I mostly played remakes of all the games I played as a kid, with updated graphics.  I didn't play very many fully original titles.  This could just as easily be Street Fighter, any Zelda or Mario game, etc.  I probably should put A Link to the Past here, but that feels like cheating.)
Gamecube - Resident Evil 4
Nintendo DS - Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords
XBOX - Halo: Combat Evolved
XBOX 360 - Gears of War
Playstation 3 - Uncharted: Drake's Fortune
Wii - Super Mario Galaxy
XBOX One - Fortnite
