There are a few members here who don't like football. My questions are...

Who doesn't like football, and why don't you like it?

Just curious.

So, it wasnt a pro team that stomped Denver's sorry ass on week one this past season?

Denver used Week 1 as an extension of their preseason.  Grin

Oh. I see. That means their coaching staff is dumber than we all thought. First stringers playing a whole preseason game?

Their starters were in when this happened. Roll Eyes

I just find the sport incredibly boring.  In general I don't like to watch any sports.  I find it rather lame.

I don't understand how people get all wrapped up in teams and stuff like that. I don't understand why people care if the Dolphins win a game.  What does it do for you?

ETA:  I could maybe understand the obsession if you played the sport, but since most don't, that makes it even harder for me to understand.

I would make the comparison to going to see your favorite band, but unless you're a Deadhead or Phish fan, you dont see your favorite band more than once a year. And, I don't see my favorite bands anymore. I could really care less if I get to see them again. If I can go to a show, and its close, I'll go.

But, the obsession begins early in childhood, and continues to grow with each passing year. Grin

The stereotype of chicks who don't dig sports (football) lives on,  it is the way of life.  I hope to God one day I find a woman who loves sports or football.  But I don't think those creatures really exist,  anyone have any sightings?

You've met all of my sisters, Carlos.  They all bleed the old aqua and orange. You know they exist.  'Course, they're all married, but they do exists...

I used to play, does that count?
I love movies, but I don't act.  I love to read, but I'm not a novelist.  I love music, but neither play any instruments nor sing all that well.  It's entertainment.  It's great times with your buddies before the game, throwing footballs around.  We get to be kids for a few hours.  That's the obsession, in my opinion.
