Premise: A young guy is seduced by a neighbor twice his age.  ...then gets involved with her daughter, who is also recently back from college.

Rating: Good

Dustin Hoffman is pretty good as a neurotic kid, and reminds me a whole lot of Tom Cruise.  This film is VERY racy for its time.  ...even for now.  It got a little hard to swallow, but I've seen Springer, so I guess anything is possible.

A classic...I've enjoyed watching it many times. Hoffman was great, and the character he portrayed there went a long way toward the persona he's carried with him his entire career.

One of my other favorites from early in Hoffman's career was "Little Big Man." Have you seen that one yet? It has a lot of similarities in theme as Tim Burton's "Big Fish", with the narration and difficult separation between what was real and what was just a tall tale, but Old West style, with General Custer and the rest...and without some of Big Fish's fantasy elements.

Netflix it...you'll thank me later.  Grin

Nah...never heard of it.  I did however love Big Fish, and I also like when reality and fantasy are told as one.  Thanks for the recommendation.

That was a pretty racy movie for its time, but relatively tame compared to today's standards.

The funny thing is, I have a friend who looks exactly like Dustin Hoffman did in that movie.
